What Is A Chakra?
Believe in the unseen
Belief, by definition, is the acceptance that a statement is true or that something exists. We carry our own beliefs from our childhood through adulthood. Some were taught to us and others we just felt. Some of our beliefs cannot be seen, touched, or heard. Many people question others beliefs for the sake of questioning. Maybe their insecurity and ego take over. But, while we can’t see our heart, we know it pumps our blood throughout our body. We cannot touch the air, but we know it’s there. We can’t hear the high pitch frequency of a dog whistle, but we know it’s effect on animals. Likewise, we know there is more to our body than the physical image you see.
Where Chakras Originated
Centuries ago, our ancestors trusted their spiritual senses. They knew there were energy bodies associated with their physical bodies. The East Indian culture called these energy bodies, chakras, or cakras.
In history, our ancestors would evaluate and determine the placement and meaning behind the stars in the sky. Similarly, they perceived the chakra locations and drew conclusions about their direct effect on our physical, psychological, and spiritual being.
Most people work with the seven-chakra system which is Hindu in origin. They emanate from the spine or head
Universal Life Force
To understand your chakras, you have to understand Universal Life Force energy. Life force energy is living energy found everywhere, within and around us. Commonly known as Qi or Chi. It is the essence of life that flows through all living things. All living things have a life force. It flows through plants, water, crystals, animals, humans, and anything that comes from nature. Earth itself has a life force. In plain terms, it is the difference between life and death.
The chakras are the storehouses and transmitters of the universal life force energy. They are a powerful life force inside of you! Energy centers that are the source of your well-being. The source of your

What Is A Chakra?
Your chakras are circular cone-shaped energy bodies emitting from the front and back of your physical body that direct life energy, or chi, for physical, psychological, and spiritual well-being. They have MANY jobs, but I’ll break down the three areas in our lives that they affect.
Each chakra manages an area of your physical body, emotional and mental issues. They control intuitive and psychic gifts, and work with your spiritual identity.
We have 7 main points within our physical bodies and just like an ordinary wheel, our Chakras should turn. When moving well, it allows energy to flow and ensures negative energy passes through us without long term effects.
The 7 Main Chakras
3 Distinct Categories:
Chakras of Matter– Connected to our physical bodies: The Root, Sacral and Solar Plexus.
Chakras of Spirit– Bridge the gap between us and our spiritual source: The Throat, Third Eye and Crown.
Connecting Chakra– The tie between the Matter and Spirit Chakras which bonds our physical and spirit together: The Heart.
Chakras Interface with our bodies and how to change their flow
Each Chakra corresponds with nerve centers in our physical bodies.
When we concentrate on them, that attention doesn’t just stir us spiritually, but rouses us physically, too!
We stimulate each chakra though attention and focus! The energy starts flowing!
The stimulation reminds our bodies to raise ourselves up, and to get rid of anything within ourselves that doesn’t serve our greatest and highest good.
Our Responsibility
Before I explain the jobs of the chakras, it is important to contemplate the role WE play in how well they work for us. On a daily basis, we need to work with these energy centers. Develop them and take responsibility for our own energy field. Through awareness, you are taking the first step to release, clear, energize and make each chakra whole again.
Physically
Our chakras interface, or connect, to physical organs. Each one is connected to specific body parts and organs. They are energy transformers, so they can change subtle energy into physical energy and vice versa. They hold the key to healing our physical body and manifesting our greatest desires! We are conceived with this energy. Each developing at different stages from womb to young adulthood.
General Development Stages:
First Chakra (Root) Womb to 6 months old
Second Chakra (Sacral) 6 months to 2 ½ years
Third Chakra (Solar Plexus) 4 ½ to 6 ½ years
Fifth Chakra (Heart) 6 ½ to 8 ½ years
Sixth Chakra (Third Eye) 8 ½ to 14 years
Seventh Chakra (Crown) 14 to 21 years
As you develop and grow into adulthood, each chakra processes all incoming information. They hold the memory of the ups and downs of your life.
Chakras govern a certain part of the body because their vibrational frequencies match each other. For example, the Root chakra is located at the base of the spine and governs the adrenal glands which produce hormones that help regulate your metabolism, immune system, blood pressure, response to stress, and other essential functions. So if you are struggling with your weight then it could be an imbalance in your Root chakra. The Root is also responsible for the hips, coccygeal vertebrae, anus, bladder, rectum and adjacent body parts. If you get frequent bladder infections then an energetic issue at your Root chakra is manifesting itself physically through your bladder. Vice Versa, the bladder infection could also be wreaking havoc on your Root chakra.
Psychologically
Chakras manage a set of beliefs and the feelings related to those beliefs.
Our Root runs our beliefs about safety and security. Emotions related to these beliefs include sensing ourselves as worthy, wanted, rejected or abandoned. Also dictates your feelings about money, physical possessions, and abundance.
Our Sacral chakra holds our beliefs about creativity and sensuality with corresponding feelings of friendliness, vitality, lovable, guilt. It’s also your ability to adapt to change and live life with fluidity or not.
The Solar Plexus chakra holds our belief of our personal power, self-esteem, and willpower. The corresponding feelings are pride, prejudice, and victimization. It also controls the emotions of control- either freedom from it or feelings of being controlled by control itself. Anxiety is often felt here.
Our heart runs our sense of love and our relationships. Feelings are appreciation, self love or disgust, and compassion. A feeling of open acceptance and mercy for ALL life.
Our Throat is our sense of truth beyond what anyone else believes, communication and expression. It’s feelings are criticism, judgment, loyalty and honesty. A liberation of excessive concern of what others think of you.
The Third eye is our vision and perception. It’s feelings are irritation towards others or life, perception of truth, and refusal to change.
Our Crown is our seat of spirituality. It’s feelings are our emotional and mental relationship with hope, faith, awareness, consciousness, and truth. It’s also a feeling of depression and anxiety. Here you may experience issues with entity possession or curses.

Spiritually
Each chakra is a rung on the ladder of enlightenment and awakening which is living in a state of spiritual truth. According to Deepak Chopra, awakening happens when you are no longer living in a dream world where you filter everything through your ego and focus on the future and the past. Instead, you have an almost simultaneous awareness of your individual self and the connection between that and everything else.
Each chakra provides vital guidance and needed inspiration. They are full of innate psychic abilities and gifts. These gifts include physical, emotional and mental empathy, healing, intuition, intuitive healing and seeing of information, telepathy and more! These gifts help us receive spiritual guidance and support the collective consciousness. (Set of shared beliefs, values, ideas, and attributes shared by most people in society- unifying us all)
Many of us have life events that damage our natural psychic abilities. Our gifts could be suppressed, clouded or in severe cases, completely buried from physical or psychological abuse. For example, when physical abuse takes place at any period of time in our lives, it obstructs the flow of the root chakra. This blocks our physical empathy and our ability to empathize with others. We become unable to sense their needs and find it difficult to care for them.
If someone is an empath which is a person highly attuned to the feelings and emotions of those around them, their ability to discern what others are feeling goes beyond empathy (defined simply as the ability to understand the feelings of others) and extends to actually taking those feelings on; feeling what another person is feeling at a deep emotional level. Imagine if you will, an empath who suffered trauma and now has an imbalanced chakra. They have the gift of feeling others emotions but now absorb others’ physical issues and/or mental issues. The problems of others, absorb into their body and they start to exhibit their symptoms. With long term chakra imbalance, they are unable to release the now stagnant energy of others and it manifests into lifelong physical or mental issues made worse by their own life experiences.
Work with these energy centers. Develop them and take responsibility for your energy field. Then…
The Goal with working on your chakras is to “be in the flow.” To open and center or balance the energy within you so the Universal Life Force flows through you and your life experience becomes one with the Flow!
Meditation and Attributes
15-20 minutes meditation
Spine Straight
Breathe in a beam of white divine light into your crown.
Bring it down and visualize it pooling at the base of your spine. Your Root.
Hold your breath for 2 seconds.
Breathe out –back up through your spine and up and out of your crown.
As the light goes back up, see it darker as it collects unwanted energy and cleanses.
As it passes out the crown it’s a muddy color.
Repeat the process of breathing into the root and out the crown until the color coming out of your crown is clearer and clearer.
Now, move to the next Chakra.
Bring the breath down to the Sacral chakra location and let the light pool just below the belly button. Breathe out starting from the Sacral location and then slowly back up the spine…See it coming out muddy color and repeat the breath until it comes out clear.
Repeat for all chakras.
As you pool the light in each chakra, focus on their color and attributes. This will aid in the cleansing process.
